The Palos Verdes Cove picked up a little NW swell on Saturday, September 12, 2009. Some nice mellow waves for the long boarders who have been surfing “The Cove” since the 1920’s in the tradition of Doc Ball.

On Sunday (July 26, 2009), Brett Simpson won the Hurley U.S. Open of Surfing in his hometown of Huntington Beach beating former world champion Mick Fanning of Australia in a 30-minute final.

Newport Beach Wedge July 2009
Huge southwest groundswell out of Cook Islands hit the Newport Beach Wedge this weekend creating perfect conditions and 16 foot waves for skilled surfers only. This video was shot around 8:00am on Saturday, July 25, 2009 shortly after a very low tide.
